A mere three weeks ago, I was a doughy middle-aged man-slug who only ever ran when the buffet was about to close. Today, Im a doughy middle-aged man-slug who jogs.
But hey, baby steps, right? Just getting started is a major hurdle to clear. I always thought of running as something that wasnt for people like me, but C25Ks incremental approach really eases you into it. The app keeps track of speed and distance, so you can see your progress (even if the improvement is slow, its a huge motivation).
It isnt perfect though. Its very easy to mess up the lock screen widget, which causes the trainer to go silent. On my first run, I didnt realize this and ran too far, got a leg cramp and had to stop early. I figured out what I did wrong and its been great ever since.
Even with that one issue, this app is a great value, especially compared to similar apps that want you to pay for a subscription. Cant recommend it enough.
